The article examines the historical and modern aspects of relations between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, based on the principles of good neighbourliness and mutual respect. Special attention is paid to the key stages of diplomatic relations, beginning with the signing of the Treaty of Eternal Friendship in 1998 and continuing to the present day. The most important moments of bilateral cooperation are analysed, such as the celebration of the Year of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan and the Year of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan, as well as the conclusion of strategic agreements in the fields of economy, culture and education. The article emphasises the importance of cultural and humanitarian ties and joint projects in the field of trade, transport and industry. The results of active cooperation in regional forums and other events aimed at strengthening political stability and economic partnerships in Central Asia are considered.
