The article examines the development and current state of multicultural policy using the examples of South Korea and Kazakhstan. The study includes an analysis of theoretical models of multiculturalism, such as the assimilation model, the exclusion model and the multicultural model. Historical and contemporary aspects of the application of these models in the two countries are discussed, including laws and regulations aimed at integrating immigrants. The results and challenges faced by South Korea and Kazakhstan in the process of forming a multicultural society are analyzed. Based on this experience, recommendations are offered to improve multicultural policies to ensure sustainable social cohesion.
